Laura & Jerry
Laura and Jerry met during the pandemic in 2021 and have been finding more and more ways to love life together ever since. We share a curiosity about the world, a love of learning and exploring, and a genuine appreciation for the life we’re building together.

We also make a really good team. We have each other’s backs, communicate well, and tend to notice when something needs to be done rather than waiting for the other person to ask. We’re thoughtful about the commitments we make, and if we say we’re going to do something, we do it.
As longtime homeowners, former pet owners, and landlords ourselves, we understand that inviting someone into your home — and trusting them with a beloved pet — is a big deal. We treat other people’s homes and belongings with the same care and respect we’d want someone to show ours.
We also understand that every dog — and every household — has its own rhythms. We’re happy to follow the routines that make your dog feel safe and comfortable, whether that means a favorite walking route, dinner at precisely 5:00, medication tucked into a treat, or a certain spot on the sofa that everyone knows really belongs to the dog. Our goal is to keep life at home as familiar and comfortable as possible while you’re away.

And because we know how reassuring it is to see that everything is just fine back home, we’re happy to send regular photos and updates along the way — enough to keep you connected without interrupting your trip.
For us, house and dog sitting brings together so many things we already enjoy: animals, exploring new places, experiencing communities more like locals than tourists, and creating a home base together wherever we happen to be. And if we can give someone else the freedom to travel knowing their dog is happy, their home is cared for, and everything is in good hands, even better.
